I heard someone use the phrase "Quest Ender" forever ago in an interview on Stylelikeu (I was so addicted to these back in the day) and I adopted it immediately. To describe the incessant hunt for the perfect something that is missing from your closet as a quest is honestly so appropriate. Although half the fun is actually being on the quest, (and let's be honest, some quests will never end - i.e. the perfect pair of vintage Levis) the feeling of relief you get when you can finally stop searching for something is one of the best. I've been known to be extremely picky, but I will say that I have found some quest enders over the years and they are all things I will own and wear for the rest of my life: a vintage Burberry trench that fits like a glove, strappy Manolos from the 90s that I practically buy in bulk now on eBay, the most perfectly pale pink cashmere sweater that I wear as often as possible, and now...
The Addie tunic is the product of years spent cycling through countless cotton tops that were never quite right. This is the perfect length, the perfect amount of boxy, the slits give it versatility, thin enough to tuck in easily but still opaque. Silk cotton is polished but the cut can lean casual. And the sleeve detail is what will make girls stop you to ask what you're wearing (very important).
